Instructions
Add oil and spice
Add vegetables and cook until about half done - about 5-10 minutes depending on the vegetables
Add rice and mix with vegetables
Add water or broth
Continue cooking for about 20 minutes or until done (you see steam excaping)
Veggies don’t get overdone. The uniform or even cooking that far-infrared heat provides doesn’t cause veggies to overcook. When grains are added at the point when veggies are half cooked, heat is transferred to cook grains and bring to temp first, when grains reach temperature and doneness of that of veggies, then the pot continues to cook all ingredients to completion.The overall flavor is best when the vegetables are added first as the recipe suggests.
